In short
On 24 October 2026, Telangana issued G.O. Ms. No. 03 (Revenue, Disaster Management) declaring 365 mandals in 31 districts drought-affected for kharif 2026: 111 severe and 254 moderate, valid for six months unless withdrawn earlier (The Hindu, 27 Oct 2026; NIE, 28 Oct 2026; Siasat / GO download). Nalgonda and Sangareddy are worst hit with 28 mandals each (The Hindu). Around the city, TOI reports about 30 mandals in the Core Urban Region (CURE) are on the list, including Gandipet, Rajendranagar, Quthbullapur and Ghatkesar as severe (TOI, 28 Oct 2026). Hyderabad district itself is not among the 31 districts in the declaration coverage summarised by news outlets and the secondary list (telangana.ai transcription).
