- Days (forecast): above-normal maximum temperatures over most of the country (IMD).
- Nights (forecast): above-normal minimum temperatures over most of the country, except parts of central and eastern India (IMD).
- Why: very strong El Niño conditions are present now (IMD, observed). Forecast: they're likely to persist through Nov–Dec, and the Indian Ocean Dipole is likely to stay neutral until December (IMD).
